Medical Office Front Desk Full-Time, Medical Assistant DENTAL RECEPTIONIST

*All interested candidates must be able to speak English and Mandarin or Cantonese.*

Elmhurst medical office is seeking a candidate for immediate hire for a full-time front desk position. Though the position is primarily front desk related (most job duties listed below) there will be some overlap with general office management. The office is open Tuesday - Sun (closed Monday).


About the position:

This is a full-time position. Experience is a plus but not required. Beyond the language requirement, we are looking for a candidate that is personable, resourceful at solving problems on their own, and has solid general computer capabilities. Candidates able to speak both Mandarin and Cantonese and candidates with in interest in healthcare are preferred.

Some, but not all job duties include:


-Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
-Schedule appointments in person or on the telephone.
-Remind patients about their appointments 1-2 days before their appointment date.
-Check and enter patients' health insurance information including eligibility and benefits.
-Comfort patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
-Ensures availability of treatment information by scanning and electronically filing and retrieving patient records.
-Maintains patient accounts and records by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
-Recording, collecting, and documenting any patient charges.
-Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
-Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
-Overlapping office management duties when necessary.

This position is multi-faceted in job duties. These duties may include:
